Caring for the younger child

Early recognition, diagnosis, care and support is important in minimising the physical and psychological effects of an eating disorder on the development of a younger child. You may notice a change in their mood and behaviour and they may appear distanced from their family and their friends. It may be very difficult to talk to them about your concerns in addition they may not find it easy to understand or to put into words what they are feeling.

Suggestions for post topics; physical and emotional changes, helping your child to be able to talk about how they are feeling, restless in your child, physical signs that your child is ill, where to go for help, prescription anti-depressants for children, working with schools, using Camhs, (Children and adolescent mental health).
