Managing their behaviours

There are recognised emotions and behaviours that a person with an eating disorder often displays. Eating disorders develop overtime, changes in mood and behaviour creep in almost unnoticed, you simply think that your child is just being difficult and truculent. The behaviours can become routine and firmly established by the time that you have realised what is happening. Responding to behaviours needs careful consideration and strategy, it needs consistency, compassion, honesty and sometimes bravery.

Suggestions for post topics; emotional and erratic  behaviour, restlessness, standing up all of the time, over exercising, waterloading - (drinking large quantities of water especially at meal times), pre and post mealtime behaviour, using laxatives, self-harm, cheating at weigh ins, using chewing gum, lying, obsessive repetitive behaviours, suicidal thoughts, feeling as if your child is very distant from you.
