General Information

Eating Disorders affect the whole family and cause tension between family members, sometimes putting an incredible strain on individuals and their relationships.

If you are trying to manage an eating disorder for someone you love or care about, then do get in touch. We have a wealth of experience, are available via our helpline or email support line for advice and encouragement and we have some very helpful and practical booklets we can send you.

Please do read the remainder of the EDA website.  Hopefully this information will answer some of your questions, and help you to understand a little better what is happening, but we very much hope that you will use the help-line as it serves to give you on-going support and the ability to discuss events that are personal to your situation. Sometimes getting a different perspective with someone who really understands the situation and has "been there" can help allay some fears or give you a different approach, so we would encourage you to use the help-line.
